What Noor Is

Noor is a WhatsApp-based voice assistant built for blind and visually impaired users. It reads messages aloud, describes photos, sets reminders, and provides companionship through voice notes in Arabic and English.

Data We Collect

WhatsApp messages you send to Noor: text, voice notes, and photos you choose to share. Used only to generate a response.
Phone number: to identify you and deliver replies.
Preferences: language choice, voice preference, reminder settings.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not access your WhatsApp inbox, contacts, or chat history. Only messages you explicitly send to Noor are processed.
Photos are analyzed and immediately discarded — never stored.
We do not sell, share, or monetize your data.

How Data Is Used

Your messages are processed by AI services (Groq) to generate voice replies. Transcripts are used solely to produce the immediate response. Reminders you set are stored until delivered, then removed on request.

Data Retention & Deletion

Say "forget me" at any time and all your stored data (preferences, reminders, message logs) is permanently deleted. Photos are never retained.

Security

All communications use HTTPS. API credentials are stored server-side only, never in client code.
